Spring Weather and Connecting with Weather!

Happy Friday, fellow eco-lovers!
It's finally Spring and temperatures are rising!... But in a good way because it's supposed to around this time of year! It's always fun to go camping, snowshoeing, or playing with the snow during the winter, but let's be honest, it's more fun to have some fun in the sun (and rain)!

Here are some fun ways to enjoy spring weather:

1. Take a walk
Having long, peaceful walks on sunny days are so great for boosting your mood, getting some Vitamin D that you've probably missed out on during the dark, cloudy winter, and feeling more in tune with nature around you. The sun gives our bodies vitamin D, which becomes deficient in a lot of people's bodies very easily. It is also more fun to get vitamin D from the sun than to ingest gross, chalky vitamin D pills. Walks on trails, in parks, or even around a city is great for connecting with the environment around you. Feeling the sun on your face, the wind in your hair, or even hearing the birds chirp really puts things into perspective.
If you have a dog, bring him/her with you! It'll help you go for a more adventurous walk, especially when you let them choose where to roam!

2. Don't hide out when it rains
It rains a lot during the spring, but that shouldn't stop you from going outside! It's actually really fun to go out running, walking, or playing outside while it rains! Rain is an important part of our environment, so why not appreciate it?!

3. Take your workout outside!
The gyms can get really busy during this time of year, so an easy way to avoid waiting for machines is to workout outside! You can run on stairs, running tracks, through trails and enjoy the crisp, fresh air. Doing bodyweight workouts outside on grass is fun, too! Take a friend with you, and it's even more fun. This is also a free option compared to paying a monthly fee for having smelly treadmill neighbors!

Get out there and smell the roses!
